You say Potato, I say…. (part four)
Talk about your crazy mixed up ethical situations…..
I say make a run for it..
Connection….
Words are like a drop in the Ocean it seems. They melt and they mold into each other, often becoming lost in a sea of emotion, misunderstanding, mistrust or misjudgement. Like an ocean, as words grow deeper and continue to be spoken, it can be hard sometimes to span the gap that can occur between the two, and the depth of those spoken seems almost impossible to make ones way through.
… But then we come to a word like connection. So simple in thought, so innocent and naive, and one wonders at times… why can’t we all think of words like this a bit more often? Are we too lost in our own thoughts, our own wounds, ideas, religions, ideologies to see that the connection we have (as a species) is worth more than any of the other words we may put in our way?
It is a hard thing, I know, especially when emotion takes over, even easier still for one whom may not be directly effected. So easy for one to sit on the outside looking in and make observations on others (but at times this is the best thing for both sides…. an objective perspective.
(For me), it seems that to connect is to be and to be is to understand that we are all connected (in some way), and that connection is not one that comes without work, sacrifice and understanding. It also comes with the knowledge of wrongs of the past, and hurt of each other and a relative look at the big picture of every situation. So why not try and make that connection more positive (for both sides)… even if just for a few moment in time.
At the end of the day you will probably feel better, and be all the better for understanding this connection, or at the very least you may see that while your world is important, your not the only one in it and that the connection we have, the connection we share is something that takes hard work, nourishment and tending, and if this does not occur our connection can be easily swept away in the vast Ocean of all that is spoken…..
I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore Toto (or Texas, as the case may be)…. This picture confirms what I had long feared. When the Right of the Jewish theology and the Right of the Christian join arms you know THAT is the true sign of the apocalypse. I think they are planning the smackdown of Tom Cruise. (over a meal of kosher of course), that or the menorah candles are a metaphor demonstrating how many jobs are left in America, and how their wacked out religious alliance can bring that number up to … nine!!!!!
